Survivors include his wife, Rhea McDowell Brooks; one son, Christopher (Casey) Upson; two stepsons, Emmanuel Wade and Daniel Z. Bey; three grandchildren; three brothers, Irving (Lydia) Brooks, Jr., Darryl L. Brooks, and Anthony P. Brooks; three sisters, Patricia A. Mr. Brooks was native of Aiken County. Mrs. Miskulin was born on September 15, 1926 in Racine, WI, daughter of the late Vincent & Libbie (Lorence) Smerchek .
